INDOORS EPISODE 16 * (Deep in thought, Emerald walked out of the house not aware of Laura's children hanging around their own home waiting for the driver to pick them up. She watched them closely and realized Gregory was the most stubborn of them all. He was the more smarter too. He handled his sibling as if he was the eldest and deep in his head, she could see her same cunning character in him. She smiled and called out to him. He ignored throwing her a despise look. She groaned in irritation and hissed. "I can't believe i am doing this. He is such a spoilt brat but I really need his help anyway. I will just have to be nice as usual" She said to herself as she watched him walk toward a flower bed. She called out to him one last time and this time he walked toward her. "What is it? " he asked rudely. She got annoyed but controlled herself. "You are rude but I will bear" She told him feigning a smile. The young guy only ignored. "Hmm... You must be Gregory. The second child right? " "Yes! So what is it to you? " He asked rudely again. "You attend St Hannah with your sisters. I am sure you know the school very well" "Yes I do. Do you want to attend too? " "No. How can I attend at my age? I just need your help that's all" "I won't help you. I don't you or anyone in your house" He replied sharply. "You don't have to like me. I only need you to do something for me. Actually it involves my daughter Felicia" "I told you I don't like your family. Mentioning her even makes me more reluctant. She's such a baby. You scold her she starts crying like a child " He mocked. Emerald admired what he said and smiled. "Actually we are both on the same side. I don't like her too and I want to punish her a little" He gave her a confused look. "She is your daughter " "I know she is my daughter. Just do this one thing for me"She pleaded. He stared at her for a while and nodded. "Good but you have to pay me" He reminded her. She groaned but promised him a treat. "Just think of something scary that will make her frightened. Think if something that will really humiliated her in your school. She is new anyway. She won't doubt" He agreed and promised to do as she said. "So friends? " He gave her a scornful look. "No! " TBC... INDOORS EPISODE 17 * "Now I want you all to revise all I have thought you today. In few minutes is break" Felicia's aunty told the pupils as she placed down the black marker and trod off to her seat. Felicia opened up his textbook and began reciting a poem in it in her mind. The bell soon rung for break. Becky jumped up her seat happily as if she had been waiting to hear it for long. "What can I buy for you Felicia? " She asked. "Nothing" The young girl wasn't surprised at her reply. She offered to get her water anyway and jogged off. Just when she was about to get back to her poem, Gregory peeked his head into her class looking round for her. She got surprised seeing him at first and groaned realizing another sibling wanted to come distracting her again. "Hey Felicia. What are you doing now? " he asked staring at the textbook she was reading. "I am studying a poem" She replied. "Look, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So why don't I show you round the school for a while? You will love it I promise" He offered smiling. "No. I don't want to. I want to stay here" She insisted being adamant. "You are in Pry 1. I am in pry 3. I know better than you okay. So just don't worry about any bully or anyone. I will protect you from them. Just come with me" "I have told you, I don't want to talk to you or go anywhere with you" He realized it was really difficult fooling and thought for a while. "It will just take two minutes. Your daddy will not know" "I said...." "I know what you said. I just want us to be friends. Come on, I will just show you the most beautiful part of the school and that is it" he promised. She realized he made sense somehow. She was really bored staying in class anyway. She smiled and jumped off her seat. "Okay" She finally accepted. He grinned and walked out of the class as fast as he could. She got confused and followed wondering why he was so fast. They walked out of the class block to another side of the school compound. There was a more smaller building where teachers walked in and out and few pupils. "Where is this place?" She asked. "You will know soon" he promised. They both walked in and approached a door. "Guess here this is? " "I don't know " She answered with a curious look. He opened up the door and watched her walk in. The whole room was dark so she couldn't identify anything. She trembled a bit being scared of the dark but calmed herself knowing Gerald was there. Without warning Gerald shut the door with a loud bang locked her in making her heart beat race. She ran toward the door and began banging but no one opened. "Gregory open the door! " She pleaded but got no answer. Just then she heart the noise of a rat which got her to scream her head off. TBC... INDOORS EPISODE 18 * The class arrived to class after the short break. Becky walked in with the bottle water she promised Felicia and searched around offering to give her but to her surprise she found her no where. She got perplexed on where she might be. "Alright class settle down. It's time for handwriting" Her aunty ordered banging her desk with her long whip realizing the whole class was getting noisy. Becky sat slowly but she got tensed on where Felicia was. The break was over. "Alright class, now..." Her teacher stopped realizing Felicia was not seen anywhere. "Where is Felicia? " * The fear of the dark got her so scared. She couldn't see anything aside the darkness. She wasn't able to guess where she was. "Help! " She yelled banging the door harder this time. The door knob turned and the door flew open. It was a senior female teacher who must have heard her yell for help while passing by. She got aghast at first seeing her bloodshot eyes and swollen face. "Are you okay young girl? For how long have you been there? " She asked with concern searching for an handkerchief in her bag. Felicia found it difficult to speak. The more she tried the more she found it difficult to. The teacher cleared her tears and offered her a bottle of water before washing her face gently. Few minutes later they were in her staff room with other teachers who got confused on why her state was that way. "Tell me what happened?" She finally asked again hoping she is able to speak this time. "He locked me up " She replied trying hard not to sob. "He? Who? " She wanted to know. "Gregory." She disclosed his name immediately. The teacher made a face promptly as if she actually knew who the Gregory was. She tapped her and told her to calm down. "Let's go to the headmaster's office. You will tell him everything there. Maybe them you will tell him the full name of this Gregory" The teacher instructed her. * "So you said someone locked you up in the store room" The headmaster tried to be sure he heard right. No such incident had ever occurred in his school. She nodded anyway. "What is the name of this idiot?" "Gregory" She replied. "Gregory who? " "Gregory Wane" She responded. "I knew it" The teacher muttered under her breath with an annoyed look. "I have had enough of that idiot" "Do you know him Miss Susanna?" "Yes of course. He is my pupil. He has always been mischievous anyway. I have always wanted him to be punished. Don't worry I will call him here. You can call up her parent immediately while I call up that of Gregory"The headmaster agreed and picked up his phone immediately. In few minutes, they all gathered in the office staring at the headteacher who gave them a stern look. Gregory got nervous knowing what they would talk to him about. "Gregory did some foolish today" he started removing his glasses. "The young boy went ahead to lock up a this new pupil without thinking taking advantage of her ignorance " "What?!" Mr James exclaimed in shock. "He dare lock up my own daughter?" "I didn't call you here to scold her or cause a scene. I only called you here to show you what is really going on here so that you can handle this matter at home. As for Gregory, the school will have to punish him for this" Gregory didn't seem to care anymore. He threw an upset stare at Emerald who gestures him to calm down. "He is just a small child" She supported him immediately. "He did it without thinking. We can talk to him" "Stop this Emerald! " Laura snapped at her in anger. "My children told me you met with Gregory this morning and ordered him to do this. I am very sure you are behind this " Emerald mouth went sealed immediately. "I don't know why you are doing this to Felicia and her brother but I swear you will regret this one day. Mark my word. They will be this way forever. They will grow up and get back to you" "Honey..." Emerald called out to Mr James with an innocent face. " She has started again. I don't know why she blames me for everything " "We are really sorry Headmaster" He said to the headmaster ignoring her. "We will handle this at home. Just don't punish Gregory" The headmaster agreed and ordered they go home at ones and handle the master. * The atmosphere of the estate was dull that afternoon. It became more dull when the two families gathered in Mr James sitting room for an important meeting. They didn't say anything the first few minutes. Emerald felt uncomfortable about this and decided to break the silence. "He is a child. It is a great injustice on Gerald. You shouldn't scold him so much like that. At least scold Felicia for coming out during break when..." "Enough! ' Mr James yelled at her causing her to go silent in just a jiffy. Her heart seemed to have jumped hearing his yell. He really scared her. "I am only here to make an important announcement " They got confused on the announcement he needed to make. "And what's that? " Laura asked. "I don't want any of the family members to have anything to do with each other started from today onwards. The two families are no more in talking terms. Both school and home. This is for our own good and that of our children too" "But that's not a solution Mr James. You are creating problems for the children and a rift as well" Laura tried pointing out to him his mistake but he was being adamant. "I have made my decision" TBC INDOORS EPISODE 19 * The family meeting ended that afternoon with Laura in a really bad mood. She tried all she could to try talking to her stubborn neighbor but he was too adamant to listen. Nothing she said made sense to him. He seemed to be so self centered. This got her really baffled. Of course, there was no other choice for her but to accept his condition. "Fine. You want your children to be in the dark, it is fine by me. I have nothing to do with a family of this kind anymore " She had confronted him with a hurtful look. That was the last time the two families came together. Emerald saw this as a flaw to her plans since she still needed Gerald. She needed means to call the girl's bluff without her father being around to stop her but she had no means of doing that. The treats she'd promised the young boy couldn't be given. There was a straight imaginary line drawn between the two houses that none of the two families members is to cross. This hadn't affected the parents as much as it affected Becky. She felt really hurt losing a friend she had just found. She tried all she could talking to her mum but couldn't convince her in anyway. * The twins weren't convinced on what was actually happening. They wished they could speak about it with their father but the fear of him stopped them. As if their dad read their minds, he came into their room that night in his pajamas with his usual strict look. "None of you is to speak with the neighbor's children anymore. Not in school or at home. Understood? " The children gave him a blank stare. They clearly didn't understand. "Why dad?" Felicia asked. "DIDN'T YOU SEE WHAT HER USELESS SON DID TO YOU TODAY YOU STUPID GIRL?! " He yelled at her on top of his hoarse voice causing her to tremble. "He has no shame at all. How could he have caused you to be scared like that? No sensible child ever does that" "I am sorry daddy" She apologized hoping he stops yelling. Her ears are hurting. "Don't speak to any of his children....for as long as you live or you will regret disobeying me" He warned pointing his index finger at her with a squeezed face. She nodded promptly. He gave them both one more sharp stare before walking out with heavy footsteps shutting the room door bang. "That is it. We have to obey" Felix spoke breaking the silence which was beginning to build up between them. "Gregory is a really bad boy. He is so bad. But Becky has been such a nice girl too. She seem to be the only girl who cares about me in school" "So what do you want to do? Disobey dad? " "No. I don't want to disobey him but I see sense in what Aunty Laura said. We can't be all by ourselves all the time. You see, she had said Becky knew about her brother's plan. If I had not avoided her today, she would have told me" "You want to make her your friend? " "Yes. She is the only one willing to be my friend. In that big school, I can't be all by myself. I need her" She explained causing him to think. "You should make a friend too Felix. I know dad is against this but we just have to try. We can't snob people anymore. Let's do this" * The pupils walked into the class with jovial looks on their faces ready for the new day. Felicia wasn't an exception. She seemed to be in a good mood that day and this got her classmates confused. They'd never seen her looking excited before. She always loved being by herself and that was what they knew her for. Becky walked in and sat slowly beside her not saying a word. She didn't bother to turn toward her direction a but. She looked like she was in a very bad mood. The young girl wouldn't be surprised if it was due to the previous family fight. "Hi Becky! " Felicia greeted grinning really big. Becky got astonished and turned toward her direction hoping she had just heard right. She tries speaking but couldn't. "Becky, I love your hair pin. Is it a gift from your mother?" She went on. "I am dreaming. Felicia will never speak to me" Becky said to herself not ready to believe the young girl had really stepped out of her comfort zone. "I am really the one speaking Becky. It is exactly like the one my mum usually get me on my birthdays " She confessed handing it back to her. "Why are you speaking to me Felicia? Our parents warned us not to speak to each other."she reminded her hoping she hadn't gone crazy. "Well, it should be Gerald I shouldn't be speaking to not you. You have never hurt me since we first met each other. Why will I fight with you? " "I don't get it. Do you want to be my friend now? " she asked. "Yes Becky. I don't want to fight with anyone at all especially when you haven't done anything to me. I want you to be my only friend in school and no one else" Becky smiled in hearing this. She felt really proud of herself as if she had just performed an impossible task. "I can't believe you finally decided to be my friend. I have always wanted to be your friend. Okay. Okay. We will play together during break " She suggested still so excited. "No. No. We will study instead " "Study? Why do you like studying? " "That's why I top the class in my former school. I love studying a lot. My mum always told me that for one to gain something one has to sacrifice a lots of things" "My mum never told me that. Your mum must be a really intelligent woman. But she is strange you know. I don't like the way she yells at you" Becky confessed rolling her eyes. Felicia groaned in disgust realizing she meant Felicia. "Not Aunt Emerald. No way she is my mum. I mean my real mum, Mrs Lisa James. She is the only mum I know and no one else" "Good. I was already thinking she was your mum. I hate her a lot! " "She is so ugly" Felicia whispered into her ear causing them both to laugh. "You're fun Felicia. Friends only in school right? " "Yes of course but Gerald shouldn't know about this" "Promise " TBC.. INDOORS EPISODE 20 * The friendship between the two girls seemed to have benefited them perfectly well. They shared most secrets with each other and spent their time getting to be use being around each other. Felicia discovered the essence of having a friend. She regretted shunning the nice girl in the first place. From spending the whole break studying they upgraded to spending the whole break talking and playing little games. Felix discovered how close they were and discovered how lucky she was to have found a friend to trust so easily. He hadn't found any friend trustworthy yet. This got him hurt a little. He was beginning to feel lonely and his classmates were getting more and more annoying. As he shut his bag during break one beautiful day, one of his intelligent mates approached him with a textbook. "Felix, do you know what dinosaur is? " He asked sitting beside him. "Huh... Yes" The young guy replied wondering what the boy wanted. "Then what do you know about it? I am sure you are just showing off" "No I am not. I read in a textbook that it was one of the first ancient beast that existed even before humans came into existence" he replied promptly. The boy got surprised at his response. His classmates stared toward his direction. "I am sure he is wrong. How can anyone ever know if he is right or wrong. Teacher isn't here" A girl said with jealousy not ready to believe he knew it. Felix realized what was going on and smiled. "That means the rest of you don't know it" He said chuckling. "I know what a dinosaur is and I am happy to say that you are wrong Felix. That's not what a dinosaur is" The young boy who had approached him earlier had responded trying to hide his guilt. "Then what is a dinosaur? " Felix asked hoping he finally gives in. "A dinosaur is... A dinosaur is... I won't tell you" he replied angrily. "I can't tell a guy like you. You're not even intelligent ". "Felix is correct. That's what a dinosaur is" Their teacher had said walking in. They had no idea she was listening the whole time. "Anthony, you shouldn't taunt Felix like that. It's so obvious he knows it and you don't. He is more intelligent than any of you in this class. He is quiet. During break he takes his books and read but you all go about playing. You asked him a simple question and he answered straight away but you yourself had no idea the answer of the question you asked. That's why it's good to pay more attention to your studies than just playing around. Make him your friend and study together. It is more better that way" She advised them. Anthony gave Felix an upset stare while the rest of the class nodded. "From today onwards Felix will be the captain of the class. Clap for him now" She ordered knowing they weren't so happy about the news. The pupils clapped reluctantly while Anthony watched not clapping at all. He felt defeated. As soon as the teacher left, he approached the young boy who saw everything happening as a mystery. "You are not intelligent at all! You are a dull person" He insulted him with hatred in his voice. "Stop it Anthony. Why do you like insulting people? " A young girl voice had asked from behind them. It was Blaire, there teacher's favorite. "As for your information, you are jobless and have nothing to do. Now please leave our captain alone. He has the right to punish you now. He is just being gentle as doesn't want to do it. Right Felix? " She asked Felix who nodded promptly. The rest of the classmates laughed enjoying what was actually going on. "Go away Anthony. It's break. Go and play as usual" He mocked the poor boy who was burning in anger. The young brat walked off not saying another word. "You really fit to be a captain Felix. My mum says anyone who doesn't talk much, knows even more than when he talks too much. I am Blaire. I sit at your back" She introduced herself smiling. "I am Felix" Felix responded smiling. "Actually I have always wanted to speak to you but your silence scares me. Anyway I have gotten the opportunity now. Can we study together? I have lots to learn" Felix agreed in no time. From then henceforth they became very good friends. Both children discovered they weren't innocent anymore as their dad saw them but tried as much as possible to hide it from their parents. All was going well until, Gerald got suspicious of his sister and eventually caught her hanging out with Felicia. He got upset discovering this. "Why are you talking to her? " he asked Becky who froze discovering he had caught them. The two friends were dumbstruck. "I am reporting you to mum" "No! " Felicia stopped him promptly feeling nervous. "Do not tell your mum? " "Who are you weakling? I didn't talk to you. As usual you are scared" "Don't speak to her like that. She is my friend now " Becky told her brother who laughed. "This weakling is your friend? You are just going to be her bodyguard " "Gregory!" She shouted at her brother ready to blast at him forgetting their age differences but Felicia stopped her. "Stop it Becky. He is your elder brother " "I don't like the way he is talking to you" Becky confessed. "He is talking that way because he doesn't know me yet. He thinks I am scared but it's alright. With time he will discover I am not who he thinks I am" "I don't need to discover anything. You are scared easily. You are a cry cry baby and I will report you both " "Gregory I will... " Becky raised her voice again but Felicia stopped her. "I also get angry too Gregory. You are also not innocent. As if you didn't help my mum lock me up in the store room. Why did you do that? " Felix yelled with all his might wondering why she preferred sleeping like a log of wood. It was few minutes the exam would start and the assembly must have been over by then. He had longer been prepared waiting for the lazy bone to wake up but no! He had to end up waking up the Sleeping Beauty himself. "Stop disturbing me Felix. I didn't sleep early " She said lazily feeling reluctant to get up. "Dad and mum aren't home right now. We better be off to school before they arrive " "So! What do I care? I just want to sleep peacefully now. Leave me" She grumbled feeling reluctant to wake up. "This is your promotion exam sister and it's maths today too. That girl never jokes with it" He said to himself putting it safely in his bag. * The two arrived the school gate looking elegant in their school uniform. Felicia plaited her usual braid but didn't hesitate to decorate with her favorite hair ring, while Felix barbed punk. The gateman shut the door immediately preventing them from entering. "Mr Kumar, please let us in. We promise we won't be late tomorrow " She begged fearing she would miss her exam. "You said the same yesterday and since the beginning of this week" He reminded her realizing she was not serious. "I know I hadn't been serious yesterday but I swear,i will be serious from now on" "You are not serious Felicia. You and your brother are not serious at all. We won't let you in" "Mr Kumar, I understand why you are this way but please accept our apology" Felix apologized calmly. Kumar stared at Felix and smiled. "Our future senior prefect" He praises with a smile. "Look Felicia, if not for your gentle brother I would have just left you both here. Stubborn girl" He opens the gate for them to walk in. Felicia squeezed her face and sticked out her tongue. "I will come late tomorrow. You'll see" * The exam ended that day on a good note. Becky and Felicia approached the talk shop thinking of celebrating their success with a sausage and a bowl of ice cream. While they enjoyed their treats discussing about how their long holiday would be, they caught sight of a girl hovering around Gregory as if he were a honeypot. "Why does that girl follow your brother everytime? What does she want? " Felicia asked with a little irritation. "That's how the girls of this school are. They have been eyeing the poor guy since the administrator said he would be the future block prefect. They haven't seen handsome boy before " "They have no shame. They seem to be jobless" "Well I don't blame them at all. My brother is hot of course. All girls will want him" Becky said virtuously still licking her ice cream. "Hot? Why will you use such words Becky? They are not right" "You know what I have been trying to put up with you lately but now I have discovered, you being locked up in your house all day have made you a block head. INDOORS EPISODE 22 * Felicia glued her eyes to a novel she was reading. She had read the novel a couple of times already. She had to force herself to read it over and over again due to the fact that she had no other one to read. Her dad never agreed to buy her a new one. Felix was helping the driver wash their father's car despite knowing their father hated his children doing the works of servants. What baffled her more was why her father haven't yelled yet at him yet? He has been downstairs for hours. Feeling bored, she jumped down the bed hoping to find an apple in the kitchen. She did. Everything was just going perfectly well for her until her step mum walked in ruining everything with her sight. Felicia frowned with hatred but preferred to ignore her. Maybe she would ignore her as well but too stupid for her to think that way. Madame never ignores her not even in her sleep. "Where is your father? " She asked collecting a cold bottle water from the fridge. Felicia bit her lips recalling she had kept it in the fridge the previous night. "I don't know" She replied with a nonchalant attitude. "Excuse me? " The lady tried getting her attention. She groaned but turned toward her anyway. "What? " She asked rudely. "How dare you speak to me like that? Do you even know what I can do to you now? " Emerald asked with her usual strict tone. "You can't do me anything because my father will of course kill you if you dare hurt me a scratch. Stop threatening me and ask the driver. He might know" Emerald stared at her as if deep in thought. Felicia knew she was thinking of something terrible in her mind as usual. "You are not too big to be punished. I will punish you to the extent you wouldn't dare look me in the eye" "You can't do me anything. Stop bluffing" She advised. Felicia collected the rest of her apple and walked back into her room. A loud laughter was heard from the other side of the fence. They had no friends except the few classmates they spoke to in school. Their parents normally never lets them out of the house but when their mum was still around she does take them out for a treat anytime they receive their result from school and get a pass all through their subjects which they always do. Now that their mum was gone, it seemed that won't be possible anymore. Dad never takes them out. He sees it as a waste of time and prefer they study all day. There was always a timetable set for them. There was time for leisure, study, games and sleep. They dare not try double crossing their dad because he always has his eyes on them. He was always strict on them. He warns them never to make friends in school, anywhere in the estate or where they'd find themselves. He called it nonsense! Distractions! "Children with friends never make it well in their studies. Focus and be wealthy like your father. Focus! " he often advise them over and over again. Though their mum with her calm sweet voice would try telling their dad to be less strict but then their dad starts his yelling again. "the children will get spoilt because of you! All because of you! "You have no heart to pity a small girl. How can you cook up a lie like that? I even spoke to her teacher this morning telling her I was going to see her. Everyone here knows i am her mother. There is nothing to argue on this" Her husband let out a loud laugh getting her confused. "I see what is going on here. You think you still have right on this children right? FWRESHEZ: INDOORS EPISODE 4 * Felicia rose up from her seat first as soon as the bell was rung for break. Her mates followed rushing to their respective lunch bags to collect their food. She approached her teacher's table with her usual innocent look. "Aunty, can I go out and meet my mum? " She asked knowing the answer she would get. "Of course dear. Your mum called and promised she would meet you this break. You are free to see your mother" Her teacher permitted. The smile on the young girl face broadened. She rushed out of the classroom into her brother's class which was just next door. "Come on Felix, let's go and see our mother. You remember it's today right? " She reminded him approaching his seat. He was bent over a textbook alongside with few of his classmates. "I told you I don't want to see her. Go and see her alone" He refused still focused on whatever he was doing with the textbook. "She is our mother" "Yeah but she left us so how does that help? Go and see her yourself. I won't see her " He told her with a stern look being head bent on his decision. She finally let him be and walked out of the classroom with a sad look toward the school Talk shop. There her mum sat on a bench, waiting patiently for her. On seeing her, she felt herself getting so emotional after seeing her daughter in so many days. Her daughter seemed to have grown before her eyes. She wasn't use to staying away from her twins. They both exchanged a short emotional hug before letting go. "My Felicia..." Her mum called out trying to hide her tears. "I am so happy you came mother. Actually, I tried convincing Felix to come but he refused. He called you a bad mother because you left us". Her mum nodded understanding her son attitude. "It's alright. He is just being immature to understand. With time he will realize he can't live without his mother". "Of course mother. He acts like that sometimes. So mum can we leave for the canteen I am really hungry. I don't want to eat the meal prepared by that woman" She told her mum with a squeeze face. Her mum agreed. "Fine. We will go to the canteen and I also promise to take you to the canteen everyday okay? " The young girl grinned. "Promise? " "Of course my dear. I promise " She gave her word. Felicia got more excited. She reminded her mum they had to leave for the canteen. As soon as her mum was ready, they both walked out of the canteen talking about their time spent together in the past. Little did they notice their family car parked ahead of them. Emerald stepped out with a smirk and bent her head into the car as if speaking with someone. The driver of the car alighted from the vehicle and it turned out to be no other than Mr James staring at both mother and daughter with a deep frown. "You useless woman! " he screamed from a distance with his wicked gaze fixed at them. They both caught sight of him and began trembling with fear at first. Felicia hid behind her mum repeating over and over again she doesn't want to go with her father. Her mother mind was in confusion at first. She had no idea how her husband found out about them. FWRESHEZ: INDOORS EPISODE 7 * Lisa made her way into the head master's office alongside with her lawyer. The head master recognized her instantly and offered her a handshake before offering her a seat. She sat with a smile. "I know I didn't tell you I would be coming today but I had to come because it's something urgent I have to discuss with you". The old man stroked his beard showing interest in what she had to say. "I am all ears. What is it that is so urgent? " "Actually it's about the twins Felix and Felicia. I want to see them both first" "Your twins?" He asked in surprise. "I'd thought you knew about their withdrawals ". "What do you mean withdrawal? Has that useless husband withdrawn my children from here? " "Unfortunately, yes. He had discussed with me on this yesterday. I thought you knew" "Me? Know? I knew not a thing damn it! I can't believe he could do this to me. Turning toward the direction of the call, she caught sight of her daughter's class teacher. "You must be Felicia aunty Lola" She told her trying to be sure it was really her. "Yes. I am Felicia's aunty" The young lady agreed. "Actually, I don't understand why you are here. I thought you were moving with them today" "Moving? I don't understand. Who is moving? " "Your husband said he was moving from his apartment to some other city that was why he had to withdraw the twins. He said he got your approval. Are you trying to tell me you have no idea? " She asked giving her a perplex look. Lisa felt her heart beat increase as the fear in her increased. She held her head trying to stop herself from getting an heart attack. "No! No! She brushed it off her mind immediately knowing that wasn't a good time for recalling the old terrible memories. They were all nightmares to her. Nightmares! In few seconds they were right in front of her gate staring at the doorbell. She ignored the doorbell and began banging the gate like a crazy woman. Drips of sweat flowed down her attached hair. She felt damn hot. It was more like she should forcefully loosen the nonsense on her braided hair. "Lawrence open the gate! " She yelled having it in mind to handle her hair later. She got no answer. Felicia stared out the window silently with tears in her large eyes. She wished in her mind her mum could just appear from no where and get her back but it seemed it was impossible. Her mum was already far away from her. There was no way they could reach out to each other. "What an enormous building Lawrence" Emerald complemented greedily. "It is just as we had seen in your laptop. Exactly the same beauty, size, everything! Thanks honey" "Don't thank me dear. I just want to make my family comfortable" "We are more than comfortable my dear What more will a child and mother need? Right children? " She asked the twins who ignored her rudely. "Dad, why did you bring us here? " Felix asked in annoyance. "You dare question your dad Felix? This is our new home. We will live here" "I don't want to live here dad. Mum promised to fetch us with her lawyer. She told us yesterday" "And you naively agreed. Actually idiot, the truth about this is that it was your mum who instructed me to move. They both approached the pretty looking woman who brought out her hand for an handshake. "Hi! I am Laura. Your new neighbor. We spoke yesterday night about your new apartment " She reminded him. He nodded. "I still recall Laura. You did good finding this apartment for us. We really owe you" "No need to say that Mr James" She stared toward his left and caught sight of Emerald. "She must be your wife Emerald " "Yes she is. I told her so much about you in the car. I am sure there is no need for introduction" Emerald nodded in agreement. Mr James agreed and ordered the twins out of the car. They both stepped out with dull expressions on their faces. "They are Felix and Felicia. Twins meet Mrs Laura, our new neighbor " Mr James introduced briefly. The twins greeted her dryly. She smiled at them with love. "I love them a lot. They are wonderful kids. I am sure they will make good friends to my four children. Gerald, Harold, Benedicta, Beatrice. My children are very fond of making new friends. Our kids can get along" Mr James frowned at what she had said while Emerald murmured insults under her breath. "My children don't make friends " He corrected her. "What? Why? My husband finally separated them from me just as he had always wanted" "Calm down. Please Lisa. He wasn't worth it anyway. He cheated on you with that Emerald. She knew her husband very well. He loved his twins mire than any other person in this world. His reaction that afternoon towards Lisa when she's mention Felicia's class teacher got her confused and skeptical on what was going on. Her husband was up to something and she knew it. She wasn't sure why he wasn't telling her anything. They were married after all. He had to tell her what she was up to. "The children had to skip the rest of their lessons today due to their possessive father. If they were to be my real children I would have argued with him on this. My children aren't puppets to be dragged out of school whenever he likes. Anyway, what do I care? They aren't my children. They can hawk under the bridge if they want to..." she said to herself with a proud look. "...but I have to know what this silly husband is up to right? This marriage won't be fun if I don't make it fun. I didn't marry a wealthy man just to be his treasure" She turned back towards Mr James and jumped up realizing he was going to bed. "Hold on! What do you mean by that? " She asked with a nervous tone. "Silly woman. We will be moving from this house. We won't be staying here anymore" He announced making her grin big. " What?! Really honey? It's quiet obvious you withdrew the children from school. It's for their own good anyway. Their mum was thinking of coming tomorrow to see them again" "I saw that coming. That was why I had to think fast" * The twins shut their textbooks with dull expressions. It was 9 pm now. They had to go to bed. Study time was over. Not because she was lazy but due to the fact that she was scared of going back to school. The fear of the others mockery and bully got her reluctant. Her brother advised her to ignore and get use to it but she couldn't. "Felicia! " Her dad's hoarse voice called out to her from the lobby. She felt nervous and held into her bed. She expected it anyway. "Why are you still in bed? It's 7:04pm for crying out loud" "Daddy, I don't want to go to school" She confessed. "You are so stupid for saying that. How dare you? " He asked with anger. "I am so sorry daddy" She apologized in tears. Her dad frowned. "You have never said you don't want to go to school before. What happened in school yesterday? " He asked knowing his daughter very well. She never misses school in a normal day. "Actually dad...." She wanted to begin explaining but Emerald walked in and intruded rudely. "it is because she wants to stay at home all day and watch TV or perhaps go to Laura's place and proof to her we don't take good care of her here" Felicia disagreed with her immediately. "No dad. That's not the reason" "Really, Small brat?" She asked knitting her eyebrows and folding her arm. "How will you explain her coming to me yesterday and insulting me. She said I don't take care of you. Imagine that. How could you Felicia? You are such a demon and you should know that? " "Emerald she is a child. Do not ever call my daughter a demon " Mr James warned. She rolled her eyes and eyed her. "You are going to school today and that is it" "No daddy. I don't want to go. They are making fun of me in school. They hurt me a lot" She reported feeling scared to leave. Emerald eyes lit hearing this. "You are a girl not a puppet. Show them who you are and stop being a weakling like your mother. Go to school" She insisted. "Ignore your mother" Mr James advised her turning her gaze from Emerald. "Report those who tried to bully you. I will deal with them myself. I promise they won't hurt you again" He promised. She nodded slowly and hugged her dad knowing he was the only parent she got. Emerald smirked and walked off immediately having something cunning in mind now. Guess what it is? JOHN FWRESHEZ: INDOOR EPISODE 11 * Mr James walked into the kids room. Felicia caught sight of him and went on unpacking her bags as if she hadn't seen anyone. He noticed this but ignored. "Dad, I love this room. It's nice " Felix told his dad admiring the glamorous room. "I am happy you do. Your mum would have never provided you with this" He responded with his stare fixed at Felicia. Felicia noticed her dad's stare. Fear shook her really bad. She got nervous and wondered what he wanted of her. "How about you Felicia? Do you love this room or not? " She wanted to reply she didn't but feared her dad's reaction. Her dad had been somewhat soft toward them lately, if she annoys him in any way he might get really furious and get back to his normal self. That was definitely what she had to avoid. "I love the room dad. It's nice" She lied feigning to be happy with their new environment. "Huh? Are you serious Felicia? You love the house now? I thought you wanted mummy? " Felix asked with a scornful tone. Felicia threw him a disappointed stare. "I love this room and that's it" She answered not ready to discuss more on the issue. "Anyway, there will be a party downstairs in two hours. None of you is to come downstairs. I repeat I don't want to see the both of you downstairs " He instructed them. "Okay dad" they both agreed still unpacking their bags. "If you need anything, get it now" He was out of the room after this. Felicia completed her unpacking and shut her luggage box. "I know you lied to dad. You don't like this place " "Yes I don't. You know where I want to be already" They were both silent for a while. Felix realized their silence wasn't getting them any better and brought out his video game. "Why don't we play a game? It's break time anyway" "There will be a party in two hours. Let's get what we want downstairs. We can try moving around the house for the mean time" She suggested another not liking the idea of video game. "Are you sure? Dad will get angry. Remember he permitted us to only get something " He reminded her. She realized he was right and nodded. "There is nothing we need. He never let's us attend his party's anyway. There was just nothing more meaningful. * The party began in two hours. The twins heard the clicking glasses and loud music coming from the first floor. Felix got bored of his video game and wished he could go downstairs but his dad strict behavior stopped him. "I need water Felicia" He finally brought forth an excuse " I will go and get it" "What? JOHN FWRESHEZ: INDOORS EPISODE 14 * Mr James pulled over before St Hannah primary school allowing the children to have a better view of how the school looked exactly. It was bigger than their former school and there were more students too. "Remember, no break for you. Just study" He repeated what he had told them while they took breakfast that morning. They both nodded and walked in to join other pupils.. The pupils looked eleagant in their well ironed uniform which seemed to be sure to wrinkle up before break. "You must be Felicia James. The one Mr James told us about" A tall lady said approaching her alongside with other children. She nodded. "He is my brother Felix" She introduced her brother who's gaze was else where. He was busying admiring the schools large football field and playground. "Alright. You both will be my pupils. Come with me alongside the others " She instructed before walking into the large school building. Within fee seconds they were already in her new classroom which looked better than the other. "Hey! Felicia" Becky called out approaching her with her school bag flung on her shoulder. Felicia smiled at her and stared away. She reached out for her bag and brought out her exercise book. "Can we hang out during break?" "No! " She answered rudely not bothering to stare at her. "Why? Everyone will be outside" "I want to study" Becky understanding why she'd acted that way nodded and sat on a seat beside her. "Why are you seating here? " "I am in your class so we are going to be mates now" She explained. Felicia said nothing in reply. "I really pity you. Your daddy is really strict and cruel. I wish you didn't find yourself in this situation " "Becky, I love my father how he is and please do not talk to me. You got me in trouble yesterday " She grumbled angrily. "I am so sorry Felicia. She gave her glance and decided to get her head off it. * During break, she brought out her lunch box and approached Felix class which was not close to hers this time. Though they were in the same class but their father preferred to split them into different blocks so that they wouldn't be so dependent on each other. Arriving to her brother's class, she found him at his seat focused on his book. "I want us to eat together" She said placing her lunch box on the table. He nodded and they both began eating silently. A boy approached them and purposely hit the table with his feet spilling their foot on the floor. Felix got enraged now but controlled himself. "O! Sorry. I didn't mean to spill your foot baby" He mocked before laughing out loud. His classmates joined in mocking them both and calling them daddy's pet. Felicia felt really hurt and realized it was really a bad idea for her to have joined her brother. She was finding it difficult to stay away from him in the new school. "Let me go" She told him standing up. "Don't go Felicia. Let them talk" he tried stopping her. "No Felix. If I stay, they will mock you more. Let me go. It's better for us both". Tell me what you are doing downstairs instead of studying?" The lady yelled making her feel so weak. The words were like a bang in her ears. The more she heard, the more she knew she was in trouble. The other children stared on in confusion. "I only wanted... I only wanted to... I only wanted to get Felix a glass of water" she explained with an impediment in her voice. "What a filthy liar you are! You are a disgusting liar just exactly like your mother. Your father must hear this " She said furiously and stormed out heading toward the stairs. Felicia sobbed out of the kitchen all the way to the stairs toward the bedroom. She's knew her dad would punish her severely for going against his wish. "I only wanted to help my brother" She said to herself as she sobbed on walking into the room. Felix heart beat skipped a bit seeing his sister in trouble. She called me a liar and threatened to report me " She reported to her brother still sobbing. "It's my fault Felicia. I lied to you i wanted water when I actually didn't. " before he could complete what he had to say, the door opened up and her dad walked in his usual scary manner. Felicia sobs started again only that this time harder. "I am sorry daddy. I didn't mean to go downstairs " She pleaded stepping away from him. "You dare disobey me Felicia you dare disobey me?! " He asked bringing forth a whip. "No daddy. I swear I never disobey you. I only wanted to get Felix water" she defended herself hoping he believes. "She is lying darling. I saw her discussing with Mrs Laura's children. She has made friends with them already. How sweet" Emerald lied trying to prevent her from getting away from her punishment. "No! No! Daddy, Mrs Emerald is lying. I didn't.... " She hardly finished her sentence when the first whip fell on her. Felix strapped himself to the end of the bed feeling weak and sorry for his sister. He got all sweaty. He felt his arm trembling. "Look dear lying you went to take water for your brother just to play downstairs isn't good teaching dear. If you end up having a younger one then what will you teach her? " She asked with a smirk. "My sister isn't lying. I was the one who told her to get water" Felix defended his sister getting down the bed. They all stared at him. Felicia shook her head immediately trying to signal him to stop but he didn't pay heed to her warning. " I actually told her to get water for me dad. I am the one to be blamed. Beat me instead. "I have no time for this nonsense. Both of you should come with me" He ordered. They both followed him slowly. Down the lobby, he stopped before a small dark store room and threw them roughly inside. "You will stay there all night. I hope by tomorrow morning you will learn not to go against your father" after this words he shut the door with a loud bang. Then there came a key turn. If she had known she had no idea the directions to various places in the enormous house really well, we wouldn't have bothered coming out in the first place. Now there was high chance her dad would find her. As steady as a mouse, she snuck about every corner of the house hoping she finds her way to the kitchen. The number of doors she came across, she could hardly count. There were too many rooms. Smart enough, she began tracing the sound of the music. The Kitchen was close to the living room after all and the party was being carried out in the hall. "Mr Joe, have no fear. It is all under control " She heard her dad's voice right behind the door she stood in front of. Her fear increased. She tried taking a step forward but her fear took a great control of her causing her to almost slip and lose her balance. Luckily she held a vase for support. "I have to meet Mrs Loveth down downstairs. Give me a minute" He excused himself. Felicia gulped out loud hearing her dad's footsteps. She really had to find the staircase before she gets into anymore dilemma. Going on her fours, she crawled as fast as she could out of the lobby into the first room she saw. To her shock she had found her way to the stairs itself. This got her surprised at first. She never expected to get there so fast. The footsteps got closer now. She stood up slowly and began raving down the stairs. "Who is there? " Her dad yelled. She knew he had already detected someone was at the stairs. She got more nervous and increased her speed. Luckily she was able to find her way right into the kitchen just before her father came out to check what was going on. "Mr James, it's nice to meet you " Miss Loveth greeted catching sight of her as she walked up the stairs. He turned his attention towards her deviating his mind from the strange event earlier. "Comes upstairs. I want you to meet Mr Joe" He said and he led the way back to the lobby. Felicia felt at ease realizing she was safe and began searching her large eyes for the jug. Catching sight of it on the counter, she tried getting hold of it but the counter was so high. She could barely reach. Confused on what to do she stared around for an alternative plan. There was a small stool at a corner. Taking advantage of it, she was able to get what she wanted. "Hey! Who are you?" a male voice asked from the entrance. She got scared and turned around almost dropping the cup. It was a 6 year old girl who seemed to one of the guests. "I.... I... I" she lost her words. She didn't know what to say in response. Fear gripped her so much. "You must be Mr James daughter right? The one mum told me about. Felicia right? Hi Felicia, I am Becky" She introduced with a friendly smile. Felicia got more nervous now. The girl looked nice but the thought of her dad made her so reluctant to speak with her. "Go away. I don't want to talk to you" She responded rudely before trying to walk out on her. The young girl stopped her immediately. "No wait. No need to be scared. I am just a friend. I won't cause you trouble I promise" She gave her word. Another child came in and this time it was a boy. He was almost a year older than Becky. He stared at them both for a while before turning to the earlier girl. "Becky, have you gotten the ice block? " He asked. "I was just about it then I saw Mr James daughter. This is actually Felicia. One of the twins " She informed her brother who smiled. "Hello. I am Gerald" He introduced himself.
